Places To Stay
Finding a place to stay that welcomes both you and your children isn't always easy. Children of different ages have different needs and whilst highchairs are required at one stage, in-room Playstations might be more the order of the day at later stage. And then there are things to consider like whether there's a playroom or a children's club or an outdoor area for letting off steam.
And, of course, different types of accommodation suit different families. Some people love the freedom of self-catering cottages or a holiday park; some just want someone else to do the washing up and clearing up. It's whatever suits your family and your budget best. England's Quality Assurance ratings cover every possible type of accommodation and give you the reassurance that places have been professionally checked out before you check in.
We've had a look at some of the family-friendly accommodation that is available and have made a few suggestions for each region of the country. Obviously there's loads of places to stay apart from these few, so do use our search facility on the left to find somewhere for you. Some places have registered for Enjoy England's specific Family-Welcome scheme and these will come up first in the search selection. There will be many other options that also welcome children so do carry on down the list if you need to.
Some children can't be parted from the four-legged family friend, even for a short break. Never fear, there are establishments where you can take your dog with you; sometimes for free and sometimes for a small charge.
